The World
Andromea is a living fantasy world and collaborative world-building platform. Set on the continent of Andromea within the world of Luxornia, it is built by its community — creators publish original content to the map, consumers discover and use it at their tables, and the Worldbuilders (Muhlbs and Mobius) maintain the canonical backbone. The world grows with every person who contributes to it.
No. Andromea is an independent fantasy world-building platform and creative community. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of any franchise. Content references the Systems Reference Document (SRD) where applicable. Original content — custom lore, original monsters, unique encounters — is created independently by Andromea's community of creators. See the OGL/SRD Attribution page for licensing details.
Fantasy tabletop rules with custom system modifications. The Compendium includes an Alternate Rules & Tooling section documenting custom rules for travel, professions, skills, and other mechanics specific to Andromea. These modifications are designed to integrate cleanly with standard tabletop play.
Muhlbs and Mobius are the co-creators and canonical authority of Andromea. They built the world's foundations — its geography, major history, and defining lore — and they maintain the platform that lets the community build on top of it. Worldbuilder posts and pins in the Chronicle carry canonical weight. Everything else is community-built and community-moderated. Learn more on the About page.
For Creators
Creators claim an element slot on the world map — a specific hex in the map's Tier 4 grid. Each slot represents a physical location in Andromea where your content lives permanently. After claiming a slot, you submit your content package (story, monsters, maps, NPCs, lore) for review. Once approved, your element appears on the map for consumers to discover and purchase.

Publishing opens when creator onboarding is complete
Element slots are available on a pay-as-you-go basis or via an Elite Creator subscription. Pay-as-you-go pricing is approximately $5 per slot. Elite Creator subscribers receive a reduced per-slot rate along with additional platform perks. Full pricing will be published before creator publishing opens.

An element can include any combination of: a story or encounter PDF, custom monsters with stat blocks, dungeon or location maps, NPCs with backstories, and local lore entries. You can publish with just a story, or build out a full content package — the richer the element, the more value it offers consumers and the better it surfaces in search.
Yes. Creators earn a percentage of every sale when consumers purchase their element. The platform retains a percentage as an operating fee. Specific royalty rates will be published before creator publishing opens — the split is designed to be sustainable for both creators and the platform long-term.

Royalty rates finalized before launch
Yes. Original content you create remains your intellectual property. Publishing on Andromea grants the platform a license to display and distribute your content within the platform — it does not transfer ownership. Full terms are documented in the Creator Agreement.
Monsters from the Systems Reference Document (SRD) may be included in your content under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. Original monsters you design are your intellectual property and handled separately. See the OGL/SRD Attribution page for the full policy — a legal review of exactly what is and is not permissible under the SRD is in progress.

The Chronicle is the primary collaboration hub. Post a Collaboration Call to find co-creators, respond to calls from others, or browse the Bazaar to commission specific skills. Collaboration calls on the Chronicle can also appear as map indicators — so creators actively browsing the map can discover open opportunities near their own elements.
For Consumers
Browse the world map. Glowing markers indicate published elements — each one is a real piece of content built by a real creator at that location on the map. Click any marker to preview it. If it interests you, purchase it to unlock the full content package.

You can also discover content through the Chronicle, which surfaces new elements, featured discussions, and Worldbuilder announcements.
You receive the full content package for that element: the encounter or story PDF, any associated monsters with complete stat blocks, dungeon and location maps, NPC profiles, and local lore. Content is licensed for personal use at your table.
No. Guest checkout is available — you can purchase content and receive it without creating an account. Creating an account lets you access your purchases from any device, track your collection, and participate in the community. Account creation can be deferred to after checkout if you prefer.
Yes. Every element has a discussion thread and rating system built in. Your review helps other consumers make informed decisions and helps quality creators surface higher on the map. The rating system works on three axes — which you will see when you purchase and review an element.
Absolutely. The map, the Compendium, the History timeline, the Chronicle, and the Bazaar are all browsable without an account or purchase. Preview content on every element before you decide to buy. Participate in community discussion on the Chronicle. The world is open — purchasing unlocks the full content behind elements you want to use at your table.
The Platform
The Chronicle is Andromea's community platform — a platform-wide activity feed styled as adventurer dispatches and journal entries. It surfaces new map discoveries, collaboration calls between creators, Worldbuilder announcements, and community lore discussion. Think of it as the heartbeat of the community. Discussion about a specific element also lives on the element itself — the Chronicle is the discovery surface, not the archive.
The Bazaar is where Andromea's creators offer their skills directly — custom dungeon maps, original monsters, encounter writing, character art, lore writing, and more. If you need something built for your campaign or for an element slot you own, the Bazaar is where you find the people who build it. Creators are organized into two tracks: Established (rated, multiple deliveries) and Rising Voices (newer to the platform).
Andromea uses a layered moderation model. The rating system does passive work — high-quality content rises, low-quality content sinks without being amplified. New accounts have a posting restriction period before they can contribute to the Chronicle, which eliminates most spam at the source. Flagged content goes to a Worldbuilder review queue. Muhlbs and Mobius are the final authority on what belongs in the world.
